Finishing Lived-In Rooms for the Camera
Occupied homes carry the fingerprints of daily life, and even well-kept rooms can photograph as busy, dark, or unfinished. At Riviera Edit, occupied styling layers select accessories, textiles, art, and supplemental furniture from our owned inventory into the pieces a seller already has. We use it to finish a room rather than replace it, so the house still feels lived in while reading clean and deliberate in photographs. This service is available only on homes listed by Marie Morgenstern and John Morgenstern, under a separate staging agreement.
Scale, proportion, and color are technical choices that decide how a room reads through a lens. We select pieces based on how a space photographs and how buyers move through it, not on what happens to be sitting in the warehouse. At Riviera Edit, owned inventory is never brought to the $495 or $695 Edit and is not part of that consultation. Sellers who list with the team and book staging within 30 days of their Edit have the full consult fee credited toward this work.
The best occupied styling is often a handful of well-chosen changes, and restraint is where experience shows. At Riviera Edit, we draw on training through Debra Gould's Staging Diva® program and listing experience up to $22.9 million to decide where inventory earns its place. We coordinate installation and removal around the seller's schedule and the photo date. Every inventory photograph on this site is captioned as installed on a home listed by this team.
